Crafty Pint Handmade Xmas

Saturday 1st December 2012, 12 – 6pm
The return of the all day xmas pint! A Christmas extravaganza with even more fabulous pick and mix workshops to choose from at Tooting Tram. Design and make all your Christmas presents! Make printed cards, tags and gift wrap, upcycled jewellery, shrinkies, fabric wreaths, paper stars, fused glassware, painted pottery, felted and crocheted items and toys.

Printed Wonders at Medway Open Studios Winter Festival

Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th December 2012, 11am – 6pm
Come and visit the Printed Wonders studio, newly located in Rochester, Kent. Xtina has established her new 600 sq ft workspace in a historic listed building by the river Medway. Screenprinting, Gocco, relief printing and heatpress facilities will be on show, and there are free drop in activities including printing little Christmas decorations and making digitally cut vinyl stickers. A selection of Xtina’s prints, cards, books, bunting and stickers will be on sale. Have a browse and a chat over mulled wine and cake, and pop over to our neighbours Coal Shed Press in Unit 1, with their impressive etching and albion presses and screenprinting tables. Part of the Medway Open Studios winter festival, other artists will be opening their doors nearby throughout the weekend and a makers market will be located at Sun Pier House a short walk away.

Crafty Fox Market

80 designer makers who will transform the Dogstar pub into a wonderland of Christmas shopping. Fabric Nation will be bringing her unique collection of souvenir textiles fashioned into homewares and accessories.

Christmas Decorations Workshop

Saturday 15th December 2012, 11am – 2pm
Make beautiful hand-printed Christmas decorations to hang on your tree, decorate a room or give as a present in a fun three-hour workshop led by Xtina Lamb. Print onto fabrics with Gocco screens, choosing your colours and Christmas motifs, then sew them into hanging pennants or mini bunting and decorate with sequins or trim.

Crafty Pint, monthly

a crafty pint, hand sewn beer mugGillian and the Handmade in Tooting designer-makers launched this series of craft afternoons in lovely South London pub Tooting Tram and Social, back in March 2011. Each three-hour workshop costs just £15 and they range from jewellery, textiles, printmaking and bookmaking to mosaic, ceramics and fused glass. All the materials are included, you can sip drinks from the bar as you make something wonderful, and we’ll bring along some home made cakes for you to enjoy too. Crafty Pint South: Tooting Tram and Social 46-48 Mitcham Road, Tooting, London SW17 9NA First Saturday of every month, 2pm to 5pm.
